The HBCU Chess Alliance creates pathways where chess opens doors to higher education, leadership, lifelong learning, and meaningful careers.

Our events bring HBCU students together to compete, build connections across campuses, and discover opportunities through chess. From first-time players to seasoned competitors, we’re building a community that celebrates strategic thinking, school pride, and shared ambition.
